Celebrating its 30th Aniversary, the Baja Portalegre 500 will host some of the world’s best off road drivers fighting for the glory in an event which will also count for the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup.
At the same time, the Automóvel Club de Portugal event is also eligible for the National Off Road Championship, in which Ricardo Porém will be defending his lead and aiming not only for his fourth consecutive win at the Baja Portalegre 500, but also fighting to secure his first national title.
However, he will be facing some tough competition, mainly from Alexandre Franco, Alejandro Martins and João Ramos. But these are not the only ones. Miguel Barbosa, the most successful national off road driver, will be returning to Portalegre driving a Mitsubishi ASX from Wevers Sport. Also returning I Alexandre Ré , at the wheel of a South Racing’s Ford Ranger.
Adding to these names, and despite all being settled as far as the FIA World Cup, Portalegre will also be hosting some renown international drivers, such us the Brazilian Guilerme Spinelli, with an X-raid MINI. From Russia, the G-Force presents Boris Gadasin and Andrey Novikov.
