Those wishing to take part in the competition may already enrol themselves from Monday August 26th to October 18th.
Eligible for the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies and for the FIM Bajas World Cup, as well as for the national competitions, the Automóvel Club de Portugal event, which will be held from October 31st to November 2nd, promises strong emotions for spectators, as well as for competitors, who will be allowed to chose from several classes in which to enrol, be it in four wheels, or in two. Included is also the Mini Baja, a competition reserved to the younger ones.
As to the Autos, fees vary from 2,000 to 4,000 Euros, depending on the class and the date of the enrolment – all of those wishing to participate will benefit from a discount rate until October 11th.
As for the Bikes, fees vary from 200 to 850 Euros, and again just like the Autos, according to the class and the date of the enrolment.
As usual, the Baja Portalegre 500 program spreads throughout three days. The first one is reserved for technical and documental scrutineering, while the Super Special and the Mini Baja will be both held on the second. The third and last day, will be dedicated exclusively to a single 380 km Sector for Bikes, Quads and UTV/Buggy, while Autos will face two special stages (SS2 and SS3) with 200 km and 215 km, respectively.
Along the 400 kilometres against the clock, participants will pass by places such as Aldeia de Seda (Alter do Chão), which is back on the route. The Ponte de Sôr Municipality is introducing 30 brand new kilometres. Also included for the first time is the Avis Municipality, to mention only but a few novelties in comparison to the Baja Portalegre 500 latest editions.
Therefore, all the ingredients for a thrilling off-road action weekend are gathered so as to make it an irresistible attraction no one will want to miss.
