The number of participants on the Baja Portalegre 500 is high, with alms 350 teams, but so is the number of countries represented on the Automóvel Club de Portugal event. Spain, Poland (home to the World title favorite Krysztof Holowczyc), Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania or Russia stand out with the number of teams.
But Europe is not the only continent represented on the event; there are several lineups crossing the ocean just to take part on the event. There are three team coming from Brazil, with Marcos Moraes getting most of the attention since he is still on the fight for the T2 class of the World Cup, going up against the Russian Alexander Baranenko and the Portuguese-Angolan Rómulo Branco.
On two wheels the national riders are in majority, but there are also foreign names present. Venezuela has two teams defending their colors, while Sebastian Buhler comes from Germany and Kamil Wisniewski is on of the three coming from Poland.
