Sebastian Bühler repeated the morning’s strong pace to sing the fastest time amongst Bikes on the 69 km of SS2. Bühler beat António Maio, third in the Prologue. However, the reigning champion lost 2:06.0s to Bühler on the arrival at Nisa. On the other hand, Bruno Santos, which was second in the morning, was now third, loosing 39 seconds to Maio. A result which also represented a change in positions on the overall Bikes classification.
Roberto Borrego was another rider confirming the pace during the afternoon. The seven times Baja de Portalegre winner, and championship hopeful in Quads, gained more than 50 seconds over Ruben Alexandre, while André Carita was third, 1:44s adrift. The leader of the championship, Luís Engeitado, is still trying to find a good pace and is trailing behind in fifth overall, more than 2 minutes from Borrego.
As for the SSV, Aristides Mafra Jr. was the fastest over SS2. The Brazilian beat the winner of the Prologue, Vítor Santos, after an intense fight which ended with both separated by only 3 seconds in Nisa. However, Aristides is now second, 4 tenth adrift from Santos. Luís Portela de Morais was third in the afternoon and is rounding up the provisional podium.
